Antibacterial paper is a remarkable innovation that also protects against coronavirus.

With great pride, we in Radeče papir nova – a company for production and marketing of graphic, technical, multipurpose paper and securities – recently received a notification from the European Quality Organization EOQ https://www.eoq.org/ which is awarding us with the European quality mark certificate EQTM for the quality of our papers. We are the first company in the paper industry in the EU and the fourth among all awarded so far.

Products of the Radeče papir nova paper family, which can also be identified under the R Copy Paper® trademark, have been recognized and awarded as European quality products. The R Copy paper family includes R Copy Standard, R Copy Premium, Basic Copy, Office Copy, R Copy Color. In the justification for the award, EQO especially pointed out the R Copy Standard antibacterial paper. It is an innovative paper for printing and copying documents, which also provides antibacterial protection against coronavirus.

At Radeče papir nova, we are extremely proud and pleased with the award, as there have been major changes in the paper market recently, both in terms of development and innovation, changes in distribution channels as a result of adapting to new global conditions, and also the approaching 280th anniversary of our company.

The tradition of papermaking in Radeče has its roots in 1736. Over the centuries we have successfully intertwined technological development, raw material progress that leads to sustainable and ecologically oriented products, changes in market needs with industrial production, and on the other hand with handicrafts which gives special value to the paper from Radeče.

The EOQ wrote that “the recognition of EQTM will strengthen the competitiveness, promotion and sale of products of the R Copy Paper family, including innovative antibacterial paper, especially in the period associated with the pandemic situation.”
